Developed a new stakeholder engagement initiative to help a nonprofit boldly position itself in a new arena

THE OBJECTIVE

St. Barnabas Senior Services (SBSS), a Los Angeles based nonprofit organization, wanted a strategy to engage a new stakeholder group (the technology community) in an effort to support its mission to help seniors live well, feel well and age well.

THE SOLUTION

​Hetty Group developed and produced LA's first technology and aging conference for SBSS.
  • Created the brand identity, messaging, purpose and vision of initiative: AGING INTO THE FUTURE
  • Built strategic partnerships (i.e. AARP, LA Mayor’s Office, local/county elected officials, major foundations and industry associations) to establish credibility, expand reach and establish a leadership role amongst other high profile entities
  • Created the conference program - with speakers, a technology exhibit hall, hands-on learning labs and co-creation workshops to create an engaging experience for seniors
  • Developed the fundraising and sponsorship program, introducing SBSS to new funding partners
  • Handled the full scope of event planning and event production services
  • Responsible for all marketing, communications and PR
  • Built up a first time conference from 300 attendees at the California Science Center to an annual event featuring 800 attendees at the LA Convention Center by year 3
  • Established national recognition for SBSS through the initiative​​
