Florence Chung is the Chief Engagement Officer of The Hetty Group, a public safety community engagement strategy firm. She has 20 years of experience at the intersection of law enforcement and the community, working with corporations, nonprofits, law enforcement agencies and communities nationwide to help create stronger, safer communities. With a background in community organizing, corporate social responsibility and stakeholder engagement, Florence has created multiple cross-sector partnership and engagement initiatives for Fortune 500 companies such as Amazon, Ross Dress for Less and Target. From grassroots programming to national level strategies, Florence’s expertise in multi-stakeholder engagement builds a connected public safety ecosystem to develop creative solutions. Florence is the founder of Police Foundation Partners, an initiative that provides support and resources to a national network of police foundations to help them become the most effective bridge between communities and police for enhanced public safety. Florence served on the board of directors of the Los Angeles Police Foundation, New York City Police Foundation, Los Angeles Regional Crime Stoppers and the University of Southern California’s Asian American Alumni Association. She also served as a City Commissioner under appointment by the Mayor of Los Angeles. Florence is a member of the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP). |

Brad Brekke is a nationally recognized corporate security executive (retired) and federal law enforcement executive (retired). As Vice President of Asset Protection/Corporate Security for Target Corporation, Brad was the visionary behind the “Target & BLUE” initiative, an innovative law enforcement relations and public/private partnership framework that received multiple accolades from The Washington Post, Forbes, The Wall Street Journal, CNN, The New Yorker and others. Brad was then appointed to launch the Office of Private Sector within the FBI in Washington D.C., where he served as its Director, to strategically develop the FBI’s partnership and engagement with the American business community. Brad served as a board member of the IACP Foundation, the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund (NLEOMF) and FBI Domestic Security Advisory Council (DSAC), and has worked with many national organizations like PERF (Police Executive Research Forum) and MCCC (Major Cities Chiefs Association). |

Akash helps corporate leaders integrate social purpose and sustainability into their business and marketing strategies. He previously worked as an Executive with the CAA (Creative Artists Agency) Social Impact Team, where he supported Fortune 500 brands in amplifying their cause and purpose-driven marketing efforts. Prior to his role at CAA, Akash created Development3, an international firm focused on shaping mid-market companies to integrate corporate social responsibility. Before Development3, Akash worked at the Commonwealth in London, as the Head of Office, Corporate Services. His role focused primarily on refining core business objectives, establishing solid intergovernmental partnerships, and leading special projects. |

Ron Mark served 33 years in public safety and emergency management, and specializes in building training plans for organizations. He is the Director of the Center for Criminal Justice Research & Training at California State University Long Beach (CSULB), leading one of the primary law enforcement training agencies in Southern California. Mark works with police departments across the region to advance modern training in topics such as implicit bias, de-escalation training and constitutional policing. Mark served as a Captain of the Signal Hill Police Department. He is also an Adjunct Professor at CSULB and teaches a variety of courses in criminal justice, including Policing and Ethics and Diversity in the Criminal Justice System. |
